2024/2025 Season Wrap Up

In addition to the Bay League Championship, they brought home 3 CIF Division 1 Championships – including CIF-Southern Section, CIF-Regional, and the newly inaugurated CIF-State Championship in Fresno this last Saturday May 31st, in a 3-0 sweep. Congratulations to all the players, the coaches, their families, and the entire volleyball community. The Varsity team has been ranked #1 Nationally for the entire season, finishing with a 37-2 record! Link to Easy Reader Article:

The JV team finished their season as the RUHS JV Tournament Champions and the FR/SO team won the Foothill Classic Frosh/Soph Tournament. Congratulations to both teams.

Tryout Info

Tryouts will be held in October 2024 for the 2025 season.

If interested in trying out, Sign up here.
Athletes should be available for the following tryouts in Mira Costa’s Main Gym. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the time for check-in, coach introductions and information.

FRESHMAN ONLY: Friday, October 18, 2024. 6-8pm
ALL ATHLETES (incl. FRESHMAN): Tuesday, October 22nd, Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday October 24, 2024, 8:30-10:30pm

As a CUT sport for an elite program, each roster will be highly competitive. Players must challenge themselves and come prepared to show their best talent at the tryouts. Effort, ability, skill, and commitment are fundamental expectations to make it onto the team. The coaching staff reserve the right to make cuts after each tryout day.

Tryouts for this elite program are for players only. No parents or spectators are allowed.

Important Info

Volleyball is a Spring sport. The season begins in late February/early March and runs through late May for CIF Finals.
Pre season starts Monday the 6th of January 6, 2025, meeting Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:45pm-4:45pm for all teams.

January 2025 will be open gym for Varsity only from 7-9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Regular schedule will start in February 3, 2025 – 5 days a week -Monday through Friday. Varsity and JV 2:45-5pm & FS 5-7pm.
Please note the following dates:

February 5, 2025 – Tower 12 fundraiser party with bands and DJ for all adults to come dance and have fun and bid on silent auction items

February 6, 2025 – Alumni Game

Please come a support the beginning of the season. February 19, 2025 – First game of the season
There will be practice during Ski Week for all teams. Spring break schedule has not yet been determined.
