Both the Girls’ and Boys’ Rugby teams finished the 2024-25 season strong.

Both the Girls’ and Boys’ Rugby teams finished strong and had an amazing 2024-25 winter season this year, with the Girls’ A Team placing 2nd in their SCIRF division. In addition to local games during the winter season, the Mira Costa Rugby program participates in international tournaments, having previously traveled to and played in Wales, Spain and Italy. In April 2025, both the Girls’ and Boys’ teams, together with coaches and family members, traveled to New Zealand to compete in three different matches against local New Zealand high schools and rugby clubs.  

We want to express our gratitude to our coaching staff (head coach Duke Dulgarian, John O’Neill, Andrew Hunter, John Weber, Ashley Brownsberger, Evan Anderson, Jonah Tavai and Reed Vabrey) for their dedication to the players and the game. Also a huge thank you to all the players for playing with integrity and representing Mira Costa well throughout the season both on and off the pitch. We also want to recognize all the parents for their support of the team, the players and coaches. We couldn’t do it without you!  We are looking forward to a fun summer honing our rugby skills and preparing for a successful and exciting next season. Go Costa!
