Congratulations to the Mira Costa Chamber Orchestra on a successful Festival of Gold performance!

The Chamber Orchestra recently returned from an unforgettable performance experience at the historic Chicago Symphony Hall through the Festival of Gold, an invitation-only event designed for high-achieving student performance ensembles. It was a true honor for our students to take the stage in such a world-renowned venue, rising to the occasion with remarkable dedication and preparation.

While the festival was non-competitive in structure, the panel of nationally acclaimed adjudicators provided valuable feedback and scoring. We are proud to share that the Chamber Orchestra earned an average score of 98 out of 100, representing the highest score out of all bands, choirs, and orchestras performing at the festival. This achievement reflects the commitment, discipline, and artistry of our students, and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishment!
