The entire Mira Costa Girls Lacrosse program would like to thank our coaches for their amazing leadership and spirit during the trying 2020 Spring Season. Off to a 7-0 start and the #1 CIF Division 2 ranking in last coaches poll, the Girls Lacrosse team was off to it’s greatest start in the history of the program. Though saddened that the season was cut short, our Head Varsity Coach Amanda Cross, Asst. Varisty Coach Maddy Morrissey and Head JV Coach Melissa Marquez have continued to engage with the girls and we are excited about carrying the abbreviated 2020 success into next season!

Tryout Info

Girls Lacrosse is a Spring Sport.
Girls Lacrosse is a cut sport with Varsity and JV teams.
Lacrosse is a spring sport. Tryouts take place in the fall, and there are multiple tryouts to make sure each potential player is seen by the coaches.

Come join tryouts for Mira Costa Girls Lacrosse September 12th-14th, 2022 (time tbd).

Players know immediately if they made the program. We will also hold a tryout in early January for those that may have missed the fall tryout.
Experience is not required. The program looks for girls that have the desire to learn and a competitive spirit.
Workouts begin in the fall, however, daily, full practices begin in February. Tournament play begins the first week in March and the season goes through April. Post season or playoffs play begins in May and, depending on CIF, will continue through mid-May.
There are mandatory practices the second half of ski week and spring break.
Girls Lacrosse offered summer workouts this past season and plans to continue for upcoming summers. These workouts are optional. Those that participate in the summer program could be offered a spot in the fall class.
