March showers brought April flowers for the Mira Costa Boys Golf team!

Varsity currently sits at 6-1 in the Bay League. Brooks, daCosta, Gastelum, Gedion, and Henry are taking charge with solid contributions from Kwon, Lim, Padnos and Stargardter. A win tomorrow sets the table for a rematch against Redondo at home with the Bay League on the line.

The JV are on an upward trajectory with wins in their last three meets and are 4-2 in the Bay League.

Varsity will represent MCHS at the Walnut Invitational California Country Club soon. Swing easy, boys!

Tryout Info

Boys Golf is a Spring Sport.
Boys Golf tryouts are in Fall and Spring, and players will play 9 holes on the home course. It is recommended to have taken lessons and must be able to at minimum play 9 holes.
Season begins in January and runs through May. Players can expect to have practices/play through February Break and Spring Break. It is optional to take it as a PE class for the remainder of the year.
Players are primarily asked to play and practice on their own in off-season. The team may organize a few special events as well. Coach Cox usually offers a summer golf class at Westchester and that is a good lead in for new players or for those looking for camaraderie and more structure over summer.
There is an optional summer golf class through MB/X Summer School. Please contact Coach Cox several months in advance if you are interested.
IMPORTANT: Incoming Freshmen per CIF rules may not contact the coach until they have graduated from middle school. All inquiries prior to this time should be made through the Booster President or VP
