Costa Boys Beach Volleyball

The Costa Boys Beach Volleyball 2019 season started in August and is at the half-way point. Costa is currently seeded #1 entering the third week of competition.

The team has an extremely strong roster this season. They are looking to continue their success with another IBVL Championship this season, after winning the past three IBVL Championships in a row.

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Dockweiler State Beach where the boys will face some strong competition in the hunt for the Bay League title and ultimately the IBVL Championship

Tryout Info

MCHS Boys Beach Volleyball is a cut sport.

To ensure optimal coach to player ratios, the 2024 program will be capped at 60 players TOTAL across the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Frosh/Soph squads.

Tryouts are scheduled for Wednesday, August 21st and Thursday, August 22nd from 2:30pm – 4:30pm*. Location for tryouts will be in Manhattan Beach, 2nd Street/The Strand.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Team practices are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week during the season. The first week of practice begins Tuesday, August 27 th and Thursday, August 29 th from 2:30pm – 4:30pm*. Location: 2 nd St/The Strand in Manhattan Beach

Post Season Training (Beach PE) participants will continue to train twice a week. Dates/times will be determined by Coach Seain and athletes prior to the end of the season.

PAIRS SELECTION FOR TOURNAMENT PLAY
Head Coach Seain Cook will select the pairs (3 Varsity, 3 JV, 3 Frosh/Soph) after Thursday’s practice each week for the upcoming tournament on Saturday.

PARENT MEETING
Head Coach Seain Cook will lead a MANDATORY parent meeting on Monday, August 26th at Mira Costa High School. Exact meeting time and location will be confirmed in early August 2024. This is a great opportunity to meet Coach Seain, his coaching staff, the Booster Board, and learn more about the program.
