Costa Girls Tennis defeats Palos Verdes in first Bay League match of the season!

In the first Bay League match of the season for both teams, Mira Costa, the 3rd-ranked team in Division 1, and Palos Verdes, the 4th-ranked team in Division 1, tied in sets won at 9 to 9 but Mira Costa prevailed in the match 86-79 in games.   In singles, Audrey Vo (MC) won two sets 6-2 and 6-1; Haily Huynh (MC) won two sets 6-2 and 6-0; and, in the crucial set of the match, Ella Lokier (MC) won one set 7-5.  In doubles, Kacey Feng/Sydney Vo won three sets 6-4, 6-0, and 6-4; and Ella Davis/Amanda Scott (MC) won one set 6-4.  For the Sea Kings, Parker Fry swept three singles sets.

The Mustangs are now 15-1 on the season, 1-0 in the Bay League.

In a non-league match on the road, Mira Costa defeated Beckman 14-4.   In singles, Audrey Vo (MC) won three sets 6-2, 6-1, and 6-0; Haily Huynh (MC) won two sets 6-1 and 6-0; and Sydney Miller (MC) won one set 6-1.  In doubles, Kacey Feng/Sydney Vo won three sets 6-1, 6-1, and 6-0; Olga Nagy/Amanda Scott (MC) won three sets 6-2, 6-4, and 6-1; Peyton Douglas/Ella Davis (MC) won one set 6-1; and Kiki Daviduk/Hannah Bergin (MC) won one set 6-2.  The Mustangs are now 14-1 on the season.      Thanks.  Joe Ciasulli
