Boys Tennis team is thrilled to be back on the courts!

Boys tennis is ecstatic to be back on the courts and Varsity has started off the season with a 6-0 record!  Their first match versus West High on March 4 was a close one ending 9-9, but Mira Costa prevailed in games 79-72.  Costa has continued to build from that match forward with wins against Culver City (14-4), Loyola (12-6) and Santa Monica (17-1).
This past week Costa had a rematch with Loyola, and the results were much closer this time.  It came down to the doubles team of Ethan Crowley and Arya Samimi, clinching the out right win for Costa (10-8).
Tennis powerhouse and Bay League rival Palos Verdes came to Costa on Thursday and it was another close one.  Noah Daniels fought hard in the last singles match, winning that set 7-5 which gave the Mustangs a 9-9 tie with the Sea Kings.  Costa was able to capitalize on games 81-79 for an epic win!
Costa has been anchored with strong playing from Kelly Giese in singles and Tanner Chen, Will Lokier and Nick Wong in doubles.
This week Costa plays Calabasas on 3/29 and Redondo on 3/31.
The team and boosters want to thank all the hard work from Coach Mark, Coach Allen and the Costa Administration for getting the boys back on the courts!
