Tryout Info

Boys Tennis is a Spring Sport.

Tennis is a cut sport and there is a Varsity and JV team.
Tryouts for the 2026 team are scheduled for December 1st-5th, 2025.
Monday 12/1: 3pm-6pm FRESHMAN AND ANY NEW PLAYERS
Tuesday 12/2: 3pm-6pm ALL PLAYERS
Wednesday 12/3: 3pm-6pm ALL PLAYERS
Thursday 12/4: 3pm-6pm ALL PLAYERS
Friday 12/5: 3pm -6pm If needed

Team Roster will be announced before Holiday Break. JV & Varsity designation will not be
announced until January when practice begins.

Players should check the Daily Bulletin or the Mira Costa website www.miracostahigh.org for more info.
It is very difficult to make the team without experience, but it is not required. Players should compete at the junior level.
Season begins the first day of second semester and runs through mid to late May. There is no practice or play on weekends and school holidays, including Thanksgiving, Winter Break, February Break, and Spring Break.
There is no summer obligation, although there is a summer school PE class offered which is not related to the team in any way. However, participation in that class can give boys who intend to try out an opportunity to make an early impression.
