The early 6:30 am daily practices in winter frigid water continues to pay off cuz Costa remains undefeated into the early part of competition season!

- Surf Team is a year-round co-ed sport. Surf Team is a cut sport.
- 2025-2026 team tryouts:
  Incoming Freshmen – May 20th and May 22nd at 6:30am Manhattan Beach Pier.
  Current Costa students – May 21st at 6:30am 26th street Manhattan Beach
- No soft foam boards.

- The Surf Team meets Monday thru Friday from 6:30 am – 8:00 am at 26th Street
Surf League Contest begin in October and go through March. Contests are held before school at beaches from Torrance to El Porto. There will be three Saturday contests.

Selected top surfers will compete in the NSSA State and National Championships in March and June.
The Surf Team meets Every Day and goes all year long.
Surf League contests begin in the first part of October and go through March. League contests are held before school and are a head to head format from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. at beaches from Torrance to El Porto.
There are three Saturday contests; Kick-Off Classic, the game format and League All Stars at the beginning, middle and end of the season.

Selected top surfers will compete in NSSA State and National Championships in March and June.
