The Mira Costa Rugby Program is underway. At present, the Girls Varsity is preparing for their new Fall Season. The girls, whose season was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, are looking to get back on the pitch. The team has a solid nucleus, but as always is looking to add student-athletes to the roster. If anyone knows of a Costa student interested in playing, then please get them out and into our family. They’ll love it for the rest of their life!
Meanwhile, the Boys side looks to have a great year this winter season. While the team has a plethora of boys contributing to the success of the football program, nonetheless, there is a solid group led by Rob Fournell and Dondillion Rohrer working hard both on the pitch and in the weight room preparing for the 2022 campaign. The program is on the rise and has become well known in the rugby community as among the best of the high schools in the state of California in general, and among the top public schools in particular. To point to the success of the program, below please find a list of former athletes still playing the game (and apologies to any Ruggers that were inadvertently left off the list)
