The Model United Nations program would like to thank Mr. Knutson and Ms. Choi for an amazing conference season this past year; for leading our team to 4 best large delegation awards (1st place overall) at Chicago, Harvard, New York and Berkeley. We could not have done it without your hard work, dedication and leadership to our students. Thank you for all you do!
There are so many reasons the Mun students love this program: “Both Knutson and Choi are goofy and caring, they make being apart of Mira Costa MUN so enjoyable.” “Mr. Knutson is one of the smartest people I have ever met. No matter your question, he has an answer. No matter the topic, he has a solution. He succeeded in keeping a strong element of tradition in MUN and challenged the program to always avoid complacency. I’m so glad to have had K as an advisor for the past three years and I know he will continue to better the program through witty remarks and jabs for years to come.” “Ms. Choi has changed Model UN for the better. She definitely whipped us all into shape. After this year, I can’t picture anyone else as our advisor. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She developed an amazing curriculum for intro to MUN and brought some much needed discipline to advanced. I’m so glad to have spent my senior year on trips with her and I can’t wait to see what she does with the program in the future.”
