Volleyball – Boys

In its 50+ year history, no team sport has mirrored the culture and fabric of this small beach community more than Mira Costa Boys Volleyball—both girls and boys. Mira Costa has more volleyball players compete in NCAA Division I, and more players participate on the pro beach volleyball tours, than any other high school in the nation.

Mira Costa Boys Volleyball is an award winning program recognized both locally and nationally as being one of the best high school teams in the country. Since 1984, the Costa boys indoor program has won 7 CIF titles and 5 National Championships, along with being CIF finalists 6 times and semi-finalists 8 times.  Most recently, the 2016 Varsity team was CIF-State Regional Champions and National Champions.

The program hosts a Frosh/Soph, JV, and Varsity team. Tryouts are typically in the fall and the program competes in the spring high school season. Costa volleyball is invited each year to the Best of the West Tournament in San Diego, the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions and the Clash of the Titans in Hawaii.

Volleyball is almost synonymous as part of Costa’s identity.
