MIRA COSTA SWIMMING SWEEP BAY LEAGUE FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Mira Costa hosted the 2023 Bay League Championships on 4/26 (Prelims) and 4/28 (Finals) and successfully swept the competition for the second consecutive year. Teams from Mira Costa High School, Redondo Union High School, Palos Verdes High School, Peninsula High School, Santa Monica High School and Culver City High School competed in the culmination of the Bay League competition, with Mira Costa taking home the title in all four divisions: Girls Varsity, Boys Varsity, Girls JV and Boys JV. Costa swimmers took 1st place in an incredible 33 out of 42 total events during Bay League Finals and broke numerous Bay League and school records.

18 of our Varsity swimmers qualified for and competed at CIF D1 in Riverside the following week and had some phenomenal swims, breaking more school records and placing 11th for Girls and 13th for Boys overall out of 36 teams. We are so proud of our Mustangs!
