Girls Soccer Advances to CIF-SS D1 Quarterfinals!

The girls’ team showed their grit and determination as they secured a BIG 2-1 victory against the reigning CIF-SS D1 and Regional Champions, Temecula Valley Golden Bears to advance to the playoff quarterfinals. Unfortunately, their run came to a heartbreaking end in PKs against Los Alamitos High School. Congratulations on a GREAT season!

Congratulations to our Seniors!
We celebrated the class of 2023 on Senior Night. Thank you and congratulations to Kaitlyn Fukumoto, Ella Hageman, JJ Hoover, Kasaty Kofman, Vanessa Lopez, Bianca Molter, Clara Paden, Grace Riker and Rebecca Rytz. We will miss you all and wish you all the best as you move forward!

Tryout Info

Girls Soccer is a Winter Sport.
Girls Soccer is a cut sport.

Mira Costa Girls soccer tryouts (Fall 2023):

August 28, 29, 30, and September 1 (M, T, W, F) on the WEST field

Returning Players:
8/28, 8/29, 8/30: 2:30 – 3:45pm
9/1: 12:30 – 2pm

New players:
8/28 and 8/29: 3:30-4:45pm
8/30: 7am-8am (this is during the zero period – we’ll discuss these details Monday & Tuesday)
9/1: 12:30pm-2pm

*Friday is a minimum day, so tryouts will be at 12:30-2pm (or whenever you are done with class) for all.

Players will need cleats, shin guards, water, sunscreen and two different colored shirts (dark and light).

It is highly recommended that incoming freshmen sign up for the Summer Soccer camp through MBX. Players will get assessed at this time. Other teams (JV and Varsity) are evaluated in the fall prior to the start of training. The roster is established in early September.
Players should have at least AYSO experience, and many are club players.
Unofficial training starts in September. Official practice starts in November after Thanksgiving and tournaments are during Winter Break. Regular season starts early January and ends late February. CIF may take place during February ski week.
