Mira Costa Orchestra students were thrilled to share the auditorium stage again with MBMS musicians at the 2022 All District Orchestra Festival on March 9th and earned a standing ovation for their impressive performance. A week later, they were awarded unanimous superior ratings at the SCSBOA Adjudicated Orchestra Festival. Congratulations to all the musicians!
2022 Eclectic Ensembles Special Event
On March 11th, Mira Costa Bands & Orchestras co-hosted and welcomed the return of the much loved Evening of Eclectic Ensembles after a 2-year hiatus. Students and audience enjoyed a delicious pre-concert dinner from Urban Plates, diverse ensemble performances from band, orchestra and choir musicians ranging from classical and jazz to film and video game music, followed by exciting raffles and post-concert coffee and dessert buffet. A very special thank-you goes to our esteemed MCs Mr. Carlson and Mr. Park for hosting such a wonderful evening and all the amazing band and orchestra parent volunteers!
