Adding yet another jewel to their already gleaming crown, the Lady Mustangs Girls Lacrosse team toppled cross-town rival, Redondo High School, for the first time in over a decade. This program-defining win was a clear indication of the shifting of power in South Bay girls’ lacrosse and comes on the heels of a heart-breaking, sudden death loss to the other South Bay powerhouse, Palos Verdes. After corralling fellow Bay League opponent, Peninsula High School, by a score of 12-4, Mira Costa extends their 2023 record to an impressive 13-2 while earning a #3 ranking in CIF Division 1. The green & gold look to end their amazing season with a revenge game against Sea Kings, a rematch against the Panthers and a second straight win over the Seahawks. All told, the Lady Mustangs have outscored their opponents by a combined total of 202-97 while holding all but four opponents to single digits.
