Choir has outstanding performances over the holidays!

On Wednesday, December 11, Choral Union and Vocal Ensemble performed for the Manhattan Beach Neptunian Women’s Club annual holiday luncheon. For many years, these two choirs have sung at this lovely event providing music of the season and giving the women a preview of the upcoming winter concert. Thanks always goes to the Neptunian Women’s Club for this invitation and all they do for our community.

On Saturday, December 14, Vocal Ensemble provided caroling in downtown Manhattan Beach. Divided into two smaller groups in the traditional caroling style, they roamed the streets of Manhattan Beach, caroling in the stores and to the patrons shopping, even to our Police and Fire Department!  Many of the shop owners said, “Please come back again next year!”  This is an annual tradition that brings such joy to the community.

On Monday, December 16th, Mira Costa Choirs presented, “This Shining Night,” their annual winter concert. Featuring all four choirs and the two a cappella groups this is a high point to the semester for the Choir Department.  The audience was treated to music spanning from the 11th to 21st century.  Also, traditional holiday repertoire was performed to celebrate the season.
