This past Saturday at the Western Bands Association Southern California Regional Championships, the Mira Costa Marching Band and Colorguard earned the highest score they had ever achieved in the toughest division of the toughest circuit in the western United States! They were recognized as 1st Place in Music Ensemble and 2nd Place overall in their division with a stunning final performance of SteamPunks that had toes tapping, heads bopping and many audience members leaping to their feet at the conclusion!
Huge congratulations are in order to the students, our Marching Band Director Ms. d’Lainey Forrester, Percussion Director Kevin Tran, Colorguard Director Richard Hernandez and the rest of the Staff on bringing to a close this record setting historic season! Huge thanks are also in order to our VP of Marching Ops Carolyn Mukai, VP of Colorguard Andrea Barker, Co-Presidents of the Band Boosters Cathy Oh and Matt Luce and all our amazing parent and alumni voulenteer through out the season! It truly takes a village to be a great Marching Band and Colorguard and we could not do it without you!
