Media Arts student Maddox Chen selected by NY Times for outstanding Coming of Age Project!
We are excited to share the wonderful news that Media Arts student, Maddox Chen’s work was one of 24 selected, out of almost 5,600 entries for the New York Times Coming of Age Project: Teens on a Year That Changed Everything Teens on a Year That Changed Everything. Maddox’s work was featured online and in print on Thursday, March 11, 2021. His submission was part of an extra credit Media Arts assignment arranged by Michael Hernandez.
Mr. Hernandez responded to the news by saying “I’m so proud of Maddox, and fortunate that I get to work with him in class. He’s not only smart, but a creative, deep thinker who cares about the impact of his work. I’m continually impressed with the complexity of his thought, quality of his work, and willingness to contribute to our class dynamic.”
