Costa Swim team starts season with South Bay co-ed relay Invite!

The Mustangs raced this Saturday in the rain and toughed it out through the cold and back to back swims. The team showed up with good enthusiasm and swam their best considering the conditions. After only two weeks of training for many swimmers, the team looked strong and unified in new suits and caps.

The frosh-soph team seemed to be killing it, winning the 8 by 50 backstroke relay, and getting second place overall out of the 8 teams that were there. The frosh-soph swimmers in the winning relay were Lillian  May, Allie McAndrews, Zoe Howard, Jess Fraser, Wyatt Colvin, Sawyer Mosteller and Jake Carter. Varsity had some good individual swims, but the team was missing a lot of key members due to sectionals in Carslbad this weekend and the SAT. The Varsity team finished fourth overall, behind Redondo, but ahead of both PVHS and Penninsula. Overall though, a great way to kick off the 2019 swim season!
