Mira Costa Cheer just returned from The National High School Cheerleading Championship, held at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Florida. 

For more than 40 years, the UCA NHSCC has been the culmination of the season for cheerleaders across the nation. It’s the most prestigious high school national championship in the country. Over 1200 teams from across the country competed at the event  over 3 days.

This is the 5th time our Mira Costa Cheerleaders have competed at the NHSCC and the first time to medal, placing 2nd place in the nation in Division 1 Large Varsity Division, and 10th place in the Division 1 Super Varsity Game Day Division.

Mira Costa Cheer also placed 1st place at the UCA Southern California Regional, 3rd at the CIF Southern Section Championship and took home the 1st Place CIF Champion Title at The CIF Southern State Championship in January, hosted at MCHS.
