Girls Tennis plays well in Golden State Tennis Classic at Stanford University

Mira Costa Girls Tennis played well in probably the most competitive high school tennis tournament in the country, but did not do as well as in prior years.  Mira Costa finished twelfth in the Golden State Tennis Classic at Stanford University.  Unfortunately, Peninsula won the tournament by defeating Palos Verdes in the final.

In the first match, Mira Costa tied with St. Francis of Mountain View, California three to three in matches, but lost by virtue of a sets-won tiebreaker.  In doubles, Lindsay Giese/Kacey Feng (MC) won 6-4, 6-1; Elena Olsen/Kiki Daviduk (MC) 3-6, 6-1, 10-4; and Grace Kendall/Kendall Lebbin (MC) won 6-2, 6-1.

In the second match,  Mira Costa tied with Valencia of Valencia, California three to three in matches but won by virtue of the games-won tiebreaker.  In doubles, Olga Nagy-Audrey Vo (MC) won 6-0, 6-0; Lindsay Giese/Peyton Douglas (MC) won 6-0 and 6-0; and Kendall Lebbin/Elena Olsen (MC) won 6-0 and 6-2.   Kiki Daviduk was the hero by winning nine games in her loss.

In the consolation semifinals, Mira Costa lost to Monte Vista of Danville, California 2 to 4.    In doubles, Olga Nagy-Audrey Vo (MC) won 6-3, 6-2; and Lindsay Giese/Peyton Douglas (MC) won 6-0 and 6-2.

In the eleventh-place match,  Mira Costa lost to Arroyo Grande 2 to 4. In doubles, Olga Nagy-Audrey Vo (MC) won 6-4, 6-2; and Grace Kendall/Kendall Lebbin won 0-6, 6-3, and 10-1.
