Mira Costa Tennis Continues Historic Season

After both JV and Varsity winning the Bay League, they moved on to Bay League singles and doubles championships.  For JV, Jack Kwon won the JV Bay League singles title and Vikram Arora took second place and Noah Gonalons and Mitchell Watson won the JV Bay League Doubles title and Trent Porter and Terry Wang took second place.  For Varsity, Evan Fortier took second place in Bay League singles championship and Matthew Poh and Kyle Sillman won the Bay League doubles championship.

Finishing the regular season with a 19-1 record was the most wins ever for a Varsity Mira Costa Tennis team and the first time since at least 1993 they have been the outright Bay League champs.  After beating Valencia, La Canada and Corona del Mar, the team will be playing tomorrow at 3p at Costa against Harvard Westlake in the Division 1 CIF semifinals and have also qualified for state.
